Celebrating A Mother's Love
Dear Beautiful Momma,
I see you! I see just how hard you work for your children. I see the early mornings filled with lunch packing and school drop offs. I see the evening taxi service to baseball practice and dance recitals. I see the midnight feeding and the midnight prayers. You do it all, from mending scrapes to loving on bruised hearts. You are bursting with love and so quick to forgive.
You. Are. Incredible.
You are someone to be celebrated, and I do so even now. For I too am a mother and I know the daily beat of a mother’s heart.
When I think about where I would like to see my children in ten years, I am brought to a specific scripture in Philippians 1:9-11 (NIV) which reads “And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to decree what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ - to the glory and praise of God.” Then I have to consider how to see that come to be, and while there is hope in Jesus to see this through I believe as a mother there is more I can actively do.
There is a wonderful resource that I found at Proverbs 31 Ministries with two books.
31 Prayers For My Son & 31 Prayers For My Daughter, written by Aaron & Jennifer Smith. And while I am not sponsored in any way my heart wants to bless another local momma with a copy of each book in the hopes that not only will you see your children in the place your heart hopes for in the future but that you will also be an encouragement to another beautiful mother. I believe we are called to also lift each other up and to celebrate the upcoming Mother's Day, I want to do just that.
And since this is also my photography blog I want to extend my offer to include a complimentary portrait session with your children this spring season where you will receive three hand edited digital files with printing rights. All you have to do is comment on this blog post something you desire for your children. No liking or sharing is necessary, although I would not object. ;)
It does not matter if you are a new mother or even a blessed grandmother, we never stop dreaming for our children and grandchildren.
Happy Mother’s Day!
